My daughter got married on 19 June 2010. We needed to hire 9 men's kilts and 2 children's in Welsh tartan. Andy did a fantastic job, even managing to get them all fitted on the same day which was no mean feat! When we saw them all dressed up they took our breath away... I would recommend Andy to anyone, he couldn't do enough for us.

I have just been to Rome for my spectacular wedding and in the preparations for my big day I decided to honour my Irish heritage by asking my brother and brother in law to wear the National Irish tartan. I had great difficulty finding suppliers that were near enough to access and quite by chance stumbled upon the Vankilter website. I contacted Andy by email and he replied really quickly to let me know that he could source the kilts I needed and would also let me take them to Rome! Andy arranged measuring appointments, fittings and allowed us to collect the kilts early to accomodate our travel needs. When it turned out one kilt didn't fit (not Andy's fault, but some bad measuring by us!!) he was quick to replace the elements that needed replacing. My brother looked fantastic in the kilt, he looks amazing in my wedding photographs and I am so delighted to be able to recommend Andy and his services. Andy is a lovely man who offers excellent customer service by email, phone and in person. I have no qualms about recommending Vankilter to anyone looking for kilt or wedding attire hire in the West Midlands or beyond.

I was under pressure to find a formal black tie outfit within a couple of days. I visited Vankilter and received a friendly greeting from Andy. Within minutes I was measured up and able to choose from a catalogue the formal wear that I desired. The very next day I was able to collect my outfit. The whole the service from beginning to end was great. I also thoroughly enjoyed wearing the black tie suit, which was comfortable, good quality and trendy! I will definitely be using Vankilter again and whole heartedly recommend their profession service to anyone.

It's hard to find a kilt maker in the Midlands. Finding someone who will come to your home - even a fair distance from Birmingham - is even better. Andy was always friendly and punctual and helped make my wedding day a success, with kilts for both me (groom) and my best man.

Date Added: May 2009I found Vankilter whilst searching for highland wear hire as I was attending a mark master masons event I spoke to Mr Andy Hyndman who arranged to come to my home with samples. I was measured up and tried on different kilts Mr Hyndman was very professional and attentive. I had my outfit delivered to me one week prior to the event and Andy came along to make sure it fitted correctly and to make sure I was happy. Well the event was great and I passed Andy's details on to a lot of Masons. Date 20th Aug 2008I got married on Aug 16th and used Vankilter for my groom, best man, father of the groom and father of the bride suits. The service provided by Vankilter was faultless. Andy came to my home to do the fittings and made 3 or 4 visits prior to the big day to make sure everything was spot on. He also dropped the suits off to me and collected them which was a great help as we had lots of other things to sort out before the wedding. There was a wide range of attire available and also a huge variation in colours of ties/waistcoats etc which made matching the groom party to the bridesmaids as simple as possible. After arriving from Edinburgh for a formal function at the Crowne Plaza I unpacked my bag and to my horror found that I forgot to pack my socks that went with my kilt. With an hour to go before the function I trawled the internet and found Vankilter. Date 4th Dec 2007 "I telephoned a Mr Andy J Hyndman of Vankilter asking about hiring the full Scottish outfit for a St. Andrews dinner that we were going to. Withing 30 minutes we had delivered to our house a full catalogue of everything they had to offer, the catalogue was excellent, listing all the information, including prices etc, on all the clans and what was available to hire. I called Mr Hyndman, and made an appointment for him to call round to discuss what we required. He was very professional, and very informative, after we had decided which outfit for my husband to wear, we contacted Mr Hyndman to call round, which he did to take all the necessary measurements, which he accurately recorded. Two weeks later he delivered the whole outfit, and insisted that my husband tried everything on, making sure that everything fitted perfectly (whitch it did). We went to our St Andrews dinner, whereby it was a great success, and my husband looked great. A friend of ours was also impressed by the service offered, and he also hired a full outfit for the same night, and has since put an order in to buy an outfit from Vankilter. What I personally liked about this company, you do not have to leave your house, they come to you, and from the very first selection, and measuring service, to the fitting, and then after your night out you call them, and they collect it from you. The actual material for all the items was first rate, and you knew you were wearing the best. So would we recommend them to everyone else, we certainly would without hesitation, and my husband is going to buy his own outfit from them in the very near future. Date 25th Nov 2007 "I along with a few of the lads had a formal dinner coming up, tentatively got in touch with Andy Hyndman of Vankilter to see what he could offer us..... and boy am I glad I did. Andy arranged a time to come out to us that suited us. He sent a couple of brochures out ahead of time to allow us to have a look and see what sort of thing we were interested in, but we had to wait for him to help anyway as the choice of menswear Vankilter had to offer was astounding.
